Practice roads depend on your ability, lesson goals and conditions. A practice session does not guarantee the route used in your test or a passing result.

Primrose Street & the TMR area

Become familiar with the area around the testing centre on Primrose Street. Work on planning your approach, observing surrounding traffic and moving away calmly when safe. A meeting at the centre must be specifically agreed; it is not an automatic pickup point.

Connecting roads & intersections

Practise selecting a suitable road position, observing intersections and responding to directions with enough time to plan. Sessions may include Oxley Road and other suitable connecting streets, depending on your progress and traffic conditions.

Residential streets & manoeuvres

Develop careful observation around parked vehicles, driveways and pedestrians. Work on parking, reversing and controlled low-speed manoeuvres in locations selected by your instructor, then use feedback to improve consistency.
